Welcome...
Welcome to the next step in your career evolution!
This is such an exciting time (what with paint colors to choose etc.), but it can also be a bit overwhelming. Let me start by getting right into it. Below you will find links to the location's house policies. Please review them for the information that you need to be aware of and adhere to the rules as they make things run more smoothly. As life & business are always in a state of evolution these policies may change from time to time and evolve too. We know that keeping up with the day to day can be a lot sometimes so when we change a policy we will notify you via email. You can always come back to the professionals login and review the current policies. If you are found to be in violation of 1 or more policies management will notify you in writing and requests that you immediately course correct. If you choose to continue to act in violation this will ultimately result in a breach of contract and we will be forced to say goodbye.
Remember, one of the best parts about operating your independent business in a studio is building the environment you want for you and your clients free from other people’s drama. We have that now so let’s keep it that way.
In addition to the policies you will also find some helpful suggestions and resources. Mavi LLC and/or it’s representatives are not responsible for the failure or success of your business and in no way are any of the suggestions, coaching, or mentor ship grounds for that failure or success. Along the way we all gain knowledge and at times choose to share it with others. As an individual it is your decision as to whether or not this found knowledge can benefit your business and your choice to implement or disregard it.
Now that that’s done... on to the good stuff!

Unlocking the doors...
Entry doors to the building:
When the light on the front entry doors keypad is green the door is unlocked and will remain unlocked until manually locked via keypad or 6pm when the doors auto lock. The back door will always auto lock after entry. When the keypad light is red the door is locked and will need access code to enter. To access the building, please enter 0____________#. This code is unique to you. Each front door will have to be unlocked at the respective keypad. After 6pm when they auto lock if the are unlocked manually they will need to be relocked manually.
Studio door:
The same code used for entry doors will be used for your studio door but at the end you will use an * instead of the # sign. To enter your studio please enter 0______________*.
The alarm system:
The alarm is set manually each day/night by the last person leaving the building. When you access an entry door using the keypad to unlock the door you will disengaged the alarm, should you be the last one to leave again you will need to reset the alarm. To set the alarm go to the white keypad inside the building next to the front door on Unit M’s side and studio 4. In the lower right hand corner press the CMD (command) button and follow the prompts on the screen.

Parking...
Our location is homed in the Sunstate Commerce Plaza. This plaza consists of 3 buildings. Each with parking in front of the building as well as in the back. In our building we have a very at times busy restaurant “Beef o Brady’s”. It is not uncommon for the lunch & dinner hour as well as certain game times to cause an overflow of cars in the parking lot. Please be mindful of clients desire to park as close to our front door as they can and use the parking in the back of the building when available. There is lighting and secure entry access through a back door to our unit. This especially becomes necessary in the height of season when many of the independent salon professionals are in the building at the same time.

Reception area...
In the front of the studios as well as the hallway there are seats available for your guests to wait prior to their service or after their service is complete. These areas are not to be used for your guests with wet hair or with color processing. Any guests with color on their hair needs to remain in your room while processing unless using the restroom or stepping outside. We keep magazines up front and a local paper drops off publications. Please be mindful and straighten and pick up these items when clients leave them discarded on the seats. When things get old they can be deposited in the paper recycling container out by the dumpster. Do not eat in the common area. Enjoy a change of scenery between clients by sitting in the common space but please offer your seat to any guests when they enter. Especially the gray chairs to the elderly. They have backs and are more supportive for them.

Restrooms...
We have 2 restrooms, 1 on each side of the building. Inside each restroom you will find hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. There are holders on each toilet basin that can accommodate 2 rolls of extra toilet paper. All of these items are restocked by the cleaning team every 2 weeks. Should you notice these items or emptying the garbage in need of attention in between cleaning services please address as necessary. There are extra garbage bags and hand soap in the laundry room. Additional paper goods can be found in the bench up front as well as the back storage room. If you notice something in need of repair in the restroom please submit a maintenance request form online.

Laundry
There is a laundry room on site that houses 2 sets of washer and dryers. You may keep your laundry detergent in the numbered cubby’s in the laundry room or in your studio. If you go to load the washer and it is full of laundry that has been run please move it into the dryer. If the dryer is full of dried laundry please use one of the large bags hanging on the wall to put the laundry from the dryer in. Please pick up your laundry out of the laundry room asap to keep a nice flow of open space and machines for your fellow suite mates. The laundry room also has a table and a few stools to eat at or to take a short break.
Please do not leave hair products in the laundry room unless it is a new package that has been dropped off by UPS or FED EX and the stylist is not here to accept delivery. Should you need to place a package in the laundry room for a fellow suite mate please notify them on our private studios Facebook page.

Storage room...
We have a back door that we can use to access our building. This leads through a non air conditioned dry storage room. This area is designated for the house to use and is not a place for stylists to leave their processions, garbage, or recycling. You must receive written confirmation prior to storing anything in that space. You can find extra paper towels and toilet paper in the back as well as miscellaneous tools to borrow. (Please return everything where you found them). The doorway and electric panel are to remain accessible at all times per the fire code.

Rent payment...
Rent is charged weekly and payable through the Studios app. You can set it up to auto draft weekly. You can also manually pay your invoice with your bank account through the app or pay it with a credit card. (There is an extra transaction fee with a credit card payment). If you prefer to have your rent payment scheduled bi-weekly or monthly please submit a request in writing using the maintenance request form found on the Studios website.

Room moving...
Most of the rooms here at the Studios are unique in one way or another. The size, layout, whether or not it has a window. Each room will be priced accordingly. Should a room become available that you would prefer to be in please email me at maranda@MarandaHoffman.com and I will let you know the current rental rate for that room. You will be able to transfer any security deposits made on the room you are in to the new contract. Depending on the amount of your security deposit you may have to make an additional payment or you may be due a partial refund. All of the same rules apply to leaving your room in rentable condition.

Contract renewal...
Your license agreement has an expiration date. 60 days prior to this date you will receive an email with a renewal offer. You will have between then and 30 days prior to your renewal date to respond in writing either accepting your renewal or notifying us of your departure.

Private facebook page...
There is a Salon Blue Studio Salons private facebook group page. This page is to be used to share messages between suite mates such as:
“You have a package delivered, it’s in the laundry room”
“You have a client looking for you…”
“New client looking for…”
I have some product I am getting rid of, anyone want it?” (Then please make arrangements to give that product/item directly to the person).
This is a wonderful place to share upcoming education with each other.
Have the perfect meme that you want to tag your fellow suite mate in, yep post that there too.
Ever just want to share some light and joy in the workplace let us hear it!
